RICHARD COWDY
Sculptor
I was born in London and graduated in sculpture at Camberwell School of Art. For two years I worked as a bronze caster at the Morris Singer Foundry and then moved to Wiltshire where I set up my own studio and bronze foundry.
The farm animals and chalk landscape of Wiltshire became the main inspiration for the subjects of my work. All the bronzes are cast and finished by myself.
My work is regularly shown in the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy, London as well as in many other galleries and is owned by collectors world wide.
For the last few years I have made a number of bronze sculptures for schools and public spaces.
