ROSALIND ROBINSON

Specialist Painter




After studying fine art in London, Rosalind trained as a scenic artist with the BBC, acquiring the skills of trompe’loeil painting, marbling, gilding and graining.

She has worked as a professional artist and specialist decorator for more than 30 years, producing fine decorations on walls and furniture in the UK and abroad.

She has studied botanical painting on courses at Kew Gardens and the Chelsea Physic Garden and teaches occasional botanical painting classes at Whitehall Garden Centre, Lacock.

She is a member of the Traditional Paint Forum, the Bath Society of Botanical Artists and the Calne Artists Group. When time allows she makes allegorical paintings inspired by small details from everyday life.

Public works include:
Recreation of the Victorian stage scenery for Normansfield Theatre in London.
Mural panels for the Banqueting Suite, Grosvenor House London W1.
Mural for the new Medieval Gallery, Devizes Museum.
Decorative tiled panels for Harrods Food Halls, London SW1.
